2008 Club Rules
Membership
1. Club general membership dues are $80 per year. Club tournament entry fees are $10 per tournament. Each member must have ½ of these fees paid at the first meeting of that year and the remaining fees paid before the 2nd tournament. If dues are not paid by the start of the second tournament the participant will not be able to fish untill dues are paid. All monies are non-refundable. The $10 entry fees are paid pack 100% each tournament. $6 of each $10 to 1st place, $4 of each $10 to 2nd place. A seperate optional $5 dollar big bass pot will be colected prior to the tournament.
2. All club members must be in good standings with the IBF,TBF and the FLW “standard competitor” membership. The IBF and TBF memberships will be the responsibility of club secretary. FLW membership will be the individual.
3. Any member may bring a guest. The guest must fish with that club member All guests must pay a $10 entry fee. A guest may fish in no more than two tournaments per year. The exception is dependents under 16 years of age. A dependent child may fish in all tournaments. The $10 entry fee is optional. If the $10 fee is not paid, the dependent will not be eligible for winnings.
4. New members will be on a one year probationary membership. If conflicts arise during the first year, a majority vote will void membership. All remaining tournament entry fees will be refunded. General membership dues will not be refunded.
Tournament Rules
1. All Indiana laws prevail.
2. Life jacket must be worn while the gas motor is running. Reported infraction will result in a $5.00 club fine.
3. Five fish limit per person.
4. All lakes are off limit 48 hours prior to a tournament. This applies to fishing related activities only. Recreational activities are permitted.
5. Late arrival for weigh-in will result in a one pound deduction per minute. In the event of emergency situations, club officers may vote to lift penalties. The tournament director will announce the return point for the end of the tournament. Emergency situations are limited to major medical and weather related. Mechinical condition do not qualify as an emergency.
6. No alcohol use permitted during tournament hours.
7. The tournament director may release participants early at the start of the tournament if all participants have arrived and are positioned for take off.
8. All bass must be 14” minimum, mouth closed and tail bunched. Smallmouth and largemouth bass are permitted. A courtesy bump with the official club scale will be permitted before fish have been presented for weigh-in.
9. No penalty for short fish other than that fish not counting in the score.
Scoring
1. All fish will be scored in pounds and hundredths of a pound. Example a 1.50 pound bass will receive 1.50 points. This would be the equivalent a (1 LB 8oz.) Bass.
2. A participant will receive .50 bonus points for each tournament fished.
3. A dead fish presented for weigh-in will receive a .50 LB deduction. This also applies to the “big bass” prize. If a contestant continually brings in dead fish, the club officials may request the individual improve aeration.
4. A one pound deduction will be levied for every minute a participant is late for weigh-in. After 5 minutes, the contestant/contestants will be disqualified for that tournaments weigh-in. If two contestants are fishing in the late boat, both participants will receive the deduction/disqualification.
5. In the event of a tie, the two contestants will combine the winnings and split equally. Example a tie for 1st will result in first and second place winnings being combined and split equally.
Top Eight Tournaments
1. Twelve members will be chosen to participate in, the Top Eight tournaments. This selection will be based on the previous years score. The first eight participants selected will be the contestants and the next four will be alternates. Boaters will be chosen in order from the top.
2. The club will pay all fees associated with the Top Eight tournament. This includes big bass fees, ramp fees and boater gas fees. The four boaters will receive $25 each for gas. Paid by the non-boater
3. All prize money the Top Eight team receives will be given back to the club. All big bass or individual winnings will be kept by that participant.
